Are you interested in exploring the vast wilderness that the Northern Rockies has to offer, in a safe and energetic way? Are you a hard core runner and want to enjoy a beautiful nature run? Want to see the Alaska Highway from a different vantage point?
Join us for a fun run/walk/hike of the Summit Tower Road. This route offers spectacular vistas including views of Summit Lake and the Alaska Highway. The route is approximately 12km return (to the tower and back) all on a gravel road surface. It will be uphill on the way out (6km) and downhill on the way back (6km). All participants will turn around and head back (if they haven’t made it to the tower) after 2 hours. This allows everyone of all fitness levels the opportunity to create their own goals.
Participants should prepare for any and all weather conditions and should bring everything they would normally need for a walk/run/hike of that distance (water, food, appropriate foot wear). We will ensure all safety aspects are taken care of for this event. Dogs are welcome!
Registration required prior to Friday June 9th, 4:30pm.
